One of the Surface Elements
Fails to Work:
- The surface element or the
switch are most likely the
problem. Try switching the element
with another one that you know
works to determine if it is the
switch or the element. If
the element heats in another
location you have determined the
switch has failed. If the
element still fails to heat you
know the element is bad.
Surface Element Gets Too Hot:
- A temperature selector/control
switch has failed.
Surface Element Heats but Fails
to Get Hot:
- Check power supply, House
breaker/Fuse panel. Many models
share fuses, it is possible to
getting only half the required
power because one fuse has blown.
- Failed temperature control
switch.
Oven Bake Cycle Fails:
Try the broil cycle. If the
broil cycle works then it’s likely
that you have a burned out element
or shorted wire.
Oven Bake Cycle, Oven Gets Too
Hot or Only Gets Warm:
The thermostat may require
recalibrating. Check the oven
temperature, if it is more than 50
degrees out you will likely require
a new oven thermostat.
Broil Cycle Fails to Work:
Time or delay bake Option: Check
clock settings. Assure that settings
are in manual bake mode and not
automatic.
