The biggest problem with
ranges and ovens is adjusting your
idea of temperature to what the
unit's idea of temperature is!
Most times, if you place a
thermometer in your oven you will
find that the temperature is
significantly lower or higher than
what you set it at. Don't worry,
this is a very common occurrence in
ovens. If you find that there is a
great difference in your temperature
then it might be possible that your
thermostat can be adjusted to help
compensate for the difference.
Can you do this with your oven
thermostat? Generally speaking, if
you pull the knob off and see small
adjustment screws then yes, it can
be done. If no screws are present
then it's possible to replace your
existing thermostat with an upgraded
version. We would have to see your
unit in order to determine the
feasibility of switching out
thermostats.
