A faulty electrical
component is many times the cause
for your frozen food thawing out or
your refrigerator becoming warm. The
compressor and loss of Freon are
other possible causes and all should
be thoroughly checked if you are
experiencing a loss of coolness in
your unit.
Condenser maintenance is a must
to ensure proper cooling and maximum
energy efficiency. We recommend
brushing and vacuuming the condenser
at least twice a year. Also when
cleaning, make sure that the fan is
properly functioning and that your
door gaskets are properly sealing.
Read your owner's manual to fully
understand how to adjust the
temperature controls for your units.
Ineffective cooling and poor power
consumption can be caused by the
temperature controls not being
properly set. Using
thermometers in your refrigerator
and freezer are a good method to
ensure the proper temperature in
each compartment. Remember, a good
rule of thumb is 10°F for your
freezer and between 36° and 28°F for
your fresh food areas.
Is water coming out from under
your refrigerator? Check the drip
pan and see if buildup has occurred.
If so, it's possible that the
drainage elements are clogged. If
you are unable to determine the
drain components, then please call
us for assistance.
